Dude...Where Were You? This Happened A Week Ago!

After damn near a full week following the tsunami tragedy that killed far more than 100,000 people in parts of Asia, our “president” signed a proclamation Saturday ordering all flags to be flown at half-staff to honor those who have been lost or injured. The effort is supposed to bolster America’s so-called humanitarian image.

My question to GWB…why wait until now? I realize that certain aspects like the dollar figure of humanitarian aid require a bit of closed-door negotiation, but would it have been too much to ask for you to take your tacky behind to the podium when all this first popped off to express, at a minimum, some level of concern and regret? Aren’t you supposed to be the world leader who cares about how the rest of the world lives? Isn’t that one of the bullshit lines you’ve been trying to get both your voluntary and involuntary constituents to believe?

Are you and your people really that inept that you think this “gesture” actually means something to the rest of the world? You’ve gone way past proving you didn’t give a shit by taking your damned sweet time to even acknowledge the crisis in the first place.

That mishap on your part only represents yet another piece of evidence proving you are, in no way, capable of representing America on a world stage. You come across as very callous and outright stupid if you ask me. You certainly don’t act like a world leader…let alone MY leader!

You don’t even know how to keep up appearances. In all my years of living, I’ve never known someone in your position who acted with such blatant disregard for the courtesies that MUST be extended from the Oval Office. I’m not so naïve as to believe that you actually care about any agenda other than your own. Most politicians don’t. However, even when they don’t, they understand how to play the game well enough so that people can’t stack up a whole bunch of proof points about their disregard. Where were you when they passed out tact in school? Oh shit…I done fo-got who Iz talkin’ to. You and school probably didn’t get along much, huh?

Anyway, I refuse to waist anymore energy on you today, GWB. The bottom line is…you suck. And you always will.

I hope all you folks out there who voted in his favor are happy right about now. We would have done better electing Scooby Doo!

why should Bush express concern. He already got his votes, he cant get no third term so he doesnt have to pretend. Dude was straight chillin enjoying his christmas holidays, how you gonna upset him about something like foreigners dying. please !!

Dear Anonymous:

I gather from the sarcasm that you think Bush is as much an idiot as I know him to be. But in terms of him "not having to pretend," I say...YES HE DOES. As president of the United States, he MUST take a lead role in being the "good will ambassador" he needs to be. The fact that he can't get another term doesn't mean jack! Let's look at it from the standpoint of good politics. It's part of the job he signed up for. A vacation is no excuse not to do your damned job. I certainly can't get away with it, and I'm far from having the responsibility of running a nation that is currently leading an unpopular war.

We were crazy enough to impeach an excellent president for doing nothing more than getting his "jimmy waxed" by an intern, yet we tolerate and applaud an idiot who eliminates jobs, increases our debt, forces our sons and daughters into a war that is not ours and basically acts like an ass 99.9 percent of the time (and I'm being generous).

Fuck your vacation, GWB! Do your damned job!

my bad, anonymous was me :-)
hey jimmy waxing is dangerous and could have potentially devestating effects on running a country :-)

For some reason, I thought that might have been you. :-)
Hey...Jimmy waxing never hurt nobody (at least the voluntary kind, that is...). If it was truly the ticket to good government, I'd apply for a job in the White House as the official "ho" coordinator. It's not like my dear prez. Bill was the first. It's just a shame that jimmy waxing was the best they could come up with to try and tarnish his image.

Anyway, peace, my bruva!

We are happy we voted for Bush. Get over yourself. Why don't you criticism the nations still killing each other like Iraq who haven't stopped fighting for one minute during this world tragedy.

Or Saudi for just now coughing up 30 million. Thirty measly million. They make that in a day in oil.

If all you have to do is complain that GWB just now asked for flags at half mast, your life must be going pretty good. ;)

Dear Anonymous!

If you've got a problem with what I've said on this blog, your best choice is not to return. The fact that you were actually silly enough to think George Bush was the way to go last November only symbolizes that you do not belong in this forum.

If all you can manage to do is stop by folks' blogs and leave anonymous comments that don't amount to a single relevant point, then it's you who obviously needs to "get over yourself."

Did you ever stop and think that the reason they are still fighting in Iraq and Afganistan is because they don't want us over there? Oh, you probably share your politician's arrogance at believing we actually have a right to go and take over other people's countries because we're greedy and want to control all the oil. People like you floor's hard to believe that there are adults in this world who can be so easily conned by a jackass like GWB. By the way, I've got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Your continued comments are neither necessary nor welcome, so don't even bother to respond...I'll just delete your comments. GWB supporters who have the audacity to voice comments that favor him are not welcome here. Don't come back. We don't want you.

I'm in a foul mood today, and I will give you a keyboard lashing something fierce if I ever hear from you again. Peace out...GWB-lover. I'd pray for you, but it's not worth it because you are clearly on the wrong team, and I fear there is no hope for your kind.
